Operations & Events Manager
Full-time Lagos, Nigeria Operations ₦250,000–₦300,000/month
You make sure every Powch event feels like the best one we've ever done, including the fourth one that weekend.
What you'll own
- End-to-end event execution: site recce, load-in, crew briefing, service, load-out, post-event debrief
- The event playbook: turning how we do things into SOPs anyone can follow
- Inventory and procurement: what we buy, what we carry, what we never run out of mid-service
- Freelance crew scheduling across a 5–8 person bench
- On-the-day client relationship. When the planner has a question at 6pm, you are the answer
- Quality assurance: same drink, same energy, same standard, every single event
You're right for this if
- 3+ years running events, hospitality operations, or F&B service in Lagos
- You are calm when a generator dies and the ice truck is late, and you already have a Plan B
- You're obsessive about details other people don't notice
- You can brief and lead a crew of 8 without raising your voice
- You know Lagos vendors, venues, and logistics the way locals know shortcuts
- You actually like hospitality. Not tolerate it, like it
What success looks like at 90 days
- A written playbook exists for setup, service, and breakdown
- Zero stockouts. Zero late load-ins
- Client satisfaction scores documented for every event
Nice to have
- Bartending or bar management background
- Driver's licence
- Experience with weddings at 300+ guests
